Downtown Queen City Wedding | Pia + Matt | Charlotte, NC | Blog

Almost a year ago, we were headed to Charlotte, NC for Pia + Matt’s big day! Their wedding day began at the gorgeous Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel in Uptown. The ladies were having a great time lounging in their matching robes and toasting the bride with champagne! While Matt was able to grab a quick moment alone to read Pia’s letter to him on the roof. Then the couple had their first look while overlooking the city, and we finished up just as a huge storm rolled in! Luckily the storm cleared and we were able to do the bridal party and family photos on the roof before heading to the church.

The ceremony was at the beautiful Dilworth Methodist Church which is close to 100 years old. Once the couple was married we were all excited to see that there were blue skies all around and not a single cloud in the sky! This made for some stunning portraits on the church lawn.

The reception was held at Charlotte City Club which is set 31 floors above Uptown Charlotte. Looking out the windows makes for some amazing views of the city. The ballroom is classic and elegant which fit Matt + Pia to a tee! They decorated the tables with soft florals in white and blush, crisp white linens, and plenty of candle light! After dinner, they danced the night away with all of their friends and family, to the Emerald Empire Band!
