Apple Picking in the NC Mountains

September 25, 2019

Since fall is officially here, we had to share our trip from last September to Charlotte with a detour to do some apple picking. We planned the trip around a belated birthday present for Blake, which was two tickets to see Owl City in concert (Blake’s favorite band). We had our first stay in a tiny house in NoDa (which was awesome) and spent the 36 hours eating great food and drinking delicious coffee. Before heading back to Raleigh, we couldn’t help but make a trip to Apple Hill Orchard + Cidery for a bit of foggy-morning apple picking.

Shooting a few rolls of film while walking through the orchard was the perfect way to kick off the fall season. We headed home with a big bag of freshly-picked apples and stomachs full of apple cider donuts!
